While it's true that most properties would benefit from the advice of a home stager, clearly some home owners would like more help.

It may be that cleaning, removing personal items and rearranging furniture and day to day living items may be all that's needed but sometimes it can involve some financial investment like painting, improving the outside areas and adding soft furnishings, wall art, mirrors and plants to give potential buyers an idea of what their new home would look like. Home stagers have a large inventory of "props" – throws, cushions, lamps, rugs etc that can transform rooms in a very short time.
